2018 Fall Bowls Week 6

Mr. Rogers Neighborhood

Another JFFL Fall League has now been concluded, with some good games, some not so close and some controversial results, All in all , everyone had an opportunity to compete and play some 8-on-8 flag football and have some fun and life long memories and experience. Some Jokers have been doing this since 1983 and have 35 yrs of memories.

-Winter League is currently scheduled to start Dec. 8th, come on out and form your own memories and enjoy this part of your life while you’re physically able to do so, otherwise it will pass you by quicker than you ever thought it would.

-Winter League will be played by Ustach park in E. Modesto.

Games to Watch

10:30am (1-4)LB Ballers vs (1-4)Terror Squad+1

These 2 have met a few times, series is tied 2-2, Terror Squad won the Bowl Game in Summer League, but LBB won the last game they played.

Results: 18-12 double O.T. LB Ballers

12:00pm (3-2)PWO vs (3-2)Just Win Baby+3

These 2 have never met, PWO being the long-time veteran team and JWB playing in their 2nd JFFL league(they played last Winter). JWB has played some good games against good teams in only their sophomore league.This will be veteran vs youth and PWO ‘D’ vs the dynamic JWB ‘O’.

1:30pm (2-3)BD vs(2-3)Show N Go+6

These 2 met earlier in what turned out to be the Game of the Week with BD holding on for an 18-14 win. Neither team has ever lost a Bowl Game, SNG is 3-0 and BD 2-0…there are no ties, so someone will keep their 0 intact.

3:00pm (5-0)Prime Time vs (3-1)Jokers+7

Prime Time is playing in their 3rd straight JFFL Bowl (winning the previous 2) and riding a 16-game JFFL winning streak, that includes all the top JFFL teams during that streak. PT has quite a few G-Unit veterans and will be playing the veteran-laden Jokers. Both teams are very familiar with each other.

Results: Prime Time 32-6

UPSET OF THE WEEK

Show N Go was a 6pt underdog, but pulled off a close 13-12 win to remain undefeated in Bowl Games at 4-0. BD had won the last 2 JFFL B championships, this is Show N Go’s first B championship, mgr Donny Fairchilds has developed a good team and will continue into the Winter League.

Crazy Game

LB Ballers was a 1 pt favorite after Terror Squad and LBB split their season series 1-1 and their lifetime 2-2 record. LBB got out to a 12-0 lead at halftime. However, the TS ‘D’ was able to shutdown LBB in the 2nd half while the TS ‘O’ was  able to work out some success and hang in there to tie the game with under 1:00 left. In the first O.T. both teams went back & forth,but in the end stayed tied at 12-12. In the 2nd O.T. LBB ‘D’ stopped TS ‘O’ then on their subsequent possession was able to score on 4th down and seal the Bowl victory. These 2 team played 2 OT games this season, look forward to them playing each other again!…Mgrs Victor Juan(LBB) and Mason Deal(TS) have done a quality job developing their teams over several JFFL leagues and both will be participating in the upcoming Winter League.
